About 200 seniors gathered at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre in Tiverton, Friday night, to enjoy a Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

The annual event is hosted by the Tiverton Lions Club as a community service project.

Chairperson Lion Rosemary Grover said there were 187 seniors at the dinner, plus six take-out meals, and about 30 volunteers.

Besides club president Brent Crawford's stellar jokes, the entertainment was provided by the "Spirit of the Bruce," which includes local musicians Jay Smith, Tom Durrant and Bob MacKenzie.
