Kincardine Miller Midgets win Silver Stick, shut out Listowel |

The Kincardine Miller Insurance Midget hockey team followed up a Regional Silver Stick championship with a 6-0 win Monday night in Tiverton. Kincardine got goals from six different players, as Trevor Ammerman stopped all Listowel shooters in this WOAA regular season contest. David McFarlan, Matt Baker, Jory Norman, Jordan Bell, Brady Collins and Mitch Dickson each scored once for the Kinucks, who will play for an International Silver Stick title Jan. 13-15, 2012, in Forest. The Kinucks earned the berth in Forest by going undefeated in the Wingham Regional Silver Stick. A 2-1 win over Tavistock in the final clinched a second straight tournament championship. Collins and Bell each scored once in that contest. Kincardine beat Mount Forest earlier that day in a semi-final game, with Dickson scoring twice and Spencer Montgomery earning the shut-out. Montgomery played all five Silver Stick games, allowing just three goals along the way. Kincardine beat BCH, 5-1, Saturday; Walkerton, 4-1, Wednesday night; and Mitchell, 2-0, last Monday, Kincardine will host Mitchell Monday night in WOAA action.
