KDSS Knights girls hockey team notches loss to West Hill; two wins, one loss in Listowel tournament |

The KDSS girls hockey team travelled to Owen Sound Tuesday (Nov.29) to play West Hill. Unfortunately the Knights came out on the losing end of a 2-1 score. Kincardine’s lone goal was scored by Mikhayla Bowes from Hannah Davidson. The Knights then travelled to Listowel Thursday (Dec. 1) to participate in a tournament. The first game of the day saw the Knights defeat Barrie Eastview by a score of 2-1. Scoring for the Knights were Cassidy Colhoun from Mikhayla Bowes, and Maddie Duncan from Sara Gossell. The second game of the day was against St. Mike’s from Stratford. The Knights played an amazing two periods holding the strong and powerful St. Mike’s team scoreless, but Stratford ended up winning the game by a score of 4-0. The final game of the day was against Listowel. The ladies jumped all over this team defeating it by a score of 9-2. Goal scorers were Hannah Davidson with the hat-trick once again, Hailey Allen with two, and Sara Gossell, Jessica Satosek, Vanessa Hodgins and Cassidy Colhoun with single goals. Natalie Melick and Morgan Baker were power-houses in net for the Knights during the tournament.
