A match-up to determine first place in the Novice House League division set the atmosphere between Team No. 1 and Team No. 2.

We’ll call this the Christmas colors match. Team No. 1 was sporting bright red and Team No. 2, bright green, the "Green Machine."

First period was well worked. In net for his first appearance with the Green Machine, was Bailey Peirson.

The team was ready to keep its lengthy winning streak alive. With one each heading into the second period, both teams tried to refocus and go for some insurance on the scoreboard.

Mack Beisel threaded through two teams' worth of players taking it coast-to-coast on several occasions, scoring on three of them.

Carson Boettinger was really hustling and, sure enough, he banked in a goal for all his effort.

Cam Fletcher, always showing signs of brilliance, paired with some hard skating to get his name on the score sheet. This paid off for the Green Machine.

Final score was 5-4 for the Greens.

Keep it going Green Machine – your hard work is showing.
