Elgin Market School showcases talent at Christmas concert

Elgin Market Public School Grade 1 students tell the Nativity Story in English and French at the Christmas concert held Wednesday afternoon and Thursday evening at the school



The Grades 2 and 3 choir at Elgin Market School sings for the packed audience at the Wednesday afternoon performance

It was a packed house at the Elgin Market Public School, Kincardine, Christmas concert Wednesday afternoon. A second performance was held Thursday evening.

The Grades 2 and 3 choir opened the show, singing "Jingle All The Way" and "We Can Make a Difference."

The Grade 1 students then told the Nativity Story in English and French, followed by the Grade 2 French Immersion class singing "L'Arbre de Noel" and "Neige Neige est Blanc."

The Grade 2 students performed a play, "Cat Cookies and Christmas Dreams, followed by the Grade 3 class' play, "The Long Winter."

The Grades 1 and 2 class sang "Santa do you Know?" The Grade 3s performed "Santa's New Suit," and the Junior and Senior Kindergarten students sang "Rudolph."

The Senior Kindergarten and Grade 1 class performed "Santa's Busy Night," followed by another Senior Kindergarten and Grade 1 class singing "Vive le Vent;" the Kindergarten students singing "Christmas ABC," reciting a poem, "Snowman," and singing "1-2-3- Little Reindeer."

The concert ended with the Senior Kindergarten and Grade 1 students dancing to "Santa Claus is Coming to Town."
