Dear Editor,

The Kincardine District Secondary School Christmas Knights annual food and toy drive held Saturday, Dec. 10, was a huge success!

Mountains of toys, clothing, and non-perishable food items were collected at St. Anthony’s hall to be delivered to local families in need through the Christmas Hamper program.

The Christmas Knights executive at KDSS sends a very sincere thank you to the 140 student volunteers and parent drivers for participating in the drive. A big thank you also goes out to C&I Graphics, Zehrs Markets, and numerous businesses for their participation and support.

The Kincardine Lions Club is also very appreciated for braving the cold Saturday morning to grill hot dogs for all the volunteers!

But the real success of this operation lies in the hands of the community. Without the co-operation and generous donations from the local residents, this event would not continue to such a great success.

All the items donated will be distributed in 129 hampers for those in need this Christmas. Thanks again to everyone for helping make Christmas a wonderful time for everyone in the community.

Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas,
KDSS Christmas Knights Executive
