The Kincardine Brass Band brought some magnificent talent to the stage for its annual Christmas concert held Sunday afternoon at the Kincardine United Church. Directed by Nancy Ross, the performance was tremendous, bringing out the best in the brass and percussion players. There are about 20 members in the band, including percussionists Dwayne Ellis and Steve Hearn. A small crowd turned out for the show which included numbers by the band and its guests, the Kincardine United Church choir, directed by David Hamilton, as well as some audience participation in the Christmas carols and songs. The band received a standing ovation and a call for an encore performance. So, the show ended with "Christmas Calypso." The Kincardine Brass Band is in its 10th year, and will soon begin practising for its spring concert.
