All set for the Reindeer Romp ...

... and they're off!

The 7th annual Reindeer Romp took place in Port Elgin (Saugeen Shores) on Christmas Eve morning (Dec. 24) with more than 50 participants turning out for the event.

The non-competitive fun-run was hosted by the Saugeen Track & Field Club (STFC) and the Fitness Corner exercise facility as a fundraiser for the local Food Bank with runners bringing out non-perishable food items as well as financial donations.

Geordie Farrell, co-founder of the STFC pointed out that,  "... residents are always very generous prior to Christmas, but the month of January can often see the Food Bank running low, so this is our way of helping out."

Holly Vanderzwet owner of the Fitness Corner (L) gets everyone warmed up ...

... and appears to be thankful for snow?

All types ...

... and ages took part

Some looked like runners ...

... while others opted for more unusual attire!
