On December 31st, 2011 at 8:16a.m., members of the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the Government Dock off Bruce Road 9 in Colpoy’s Bay, Town of South Bruce Peninsula, for report of a marine vessel underwater.
The Bruce Peninsula OPP is on-scene at this time and is assisting the Environmental Response branch of the Canadian Coast Guard with their efforts.
‘The  Isaac’, a 50ft steel fishing tug, was secured to the government dock on December 30th and is usually operated out of Meaford, ON. The partially submerged vessel has leaked fuel into the water, but the extent of any environmental impact would be determined by the Canadian Coast Guard.
For further information, Larry TRIGATTI of the Environmental Response branch of the Canadian Coast Guard can be contacted at 519-383-4236.
