Local hospital CEOs have similar contracts when compared to each other and contracts between hospitals and their CEO's became subject to freedom of information of legislation on New Year's Day.
- Listowel-Wingham Hospital Alliance CEO Karl Ellis has a base salary of $175,000. Ellis' contract does not include a car allowance but reimbursement for mileage.
- In the Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance, CEO Andrew Williams has a base salary over over $294,000 for looking after four sites. There's also $850 per month car allowance.
- The South Bruce Grey Health Centre's contract with CEO Paul Davies includes a base salary of almost $213,000 and a $950 car allowance.
- Grey-Bruce Health Services CEO Maureen Solecki has a a base salary of $250,000 and a $750 per month car allowance.
- North Wellington Health Care CEO, Jerome Quenneville, has a base salary of $202,546 with a $960 per month car allowance. Quenneville is also the CEO of Groves Memorial in Fergus.
All of the contracts are similar to those of other communities across the province of similar size. In larger city centres, such as London, Hamilton, Ottawa and Kingston, hospital CEO pay ranges from $400,000 to over $500,000.
The new transparency rules also release the contracts of other executives employed by hospitals and alliances.
