He hasn't even arrived yet, but the new Kincardine chief administrative officer (CAO) will undergo regular reviews, according to a tripartite agreement approved by Kincardine council.

At its final meeting of 2011, council approved the CAO performance appraisal section of that agreement.

This means new CAO Murray Clarke will have quarterly performance appraisals during his first year with the municipality. These reviews will include a self-evaluation component.

After his first year in Kincardine, the CAO's reviews will be done annually.

Clarke is slated to begin work Feb. 6. He replaces former CAO John deRosenroll who left in August.
