GPS TAKEN FROM VEHICLE (WALKERTON, ON) – Jan. 9, at 10:23 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received a report of a GPS theft from a vehicle parked in a driveway along Mary Street in Walkerton. Between 8:30-9 pm Jan. 9, the GPS was taken. The stolen property is a Tom-Tom
350XL, bearing Serial SUSPENDED DRIVER USING EXPIRED VALIDATION (CULROSS TWP, ON) – Jan. 9, at 1:44 p.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Bruce County Road 6, Culross Township, stopped a white Pontiac Montana with an expired validation sticker on the licence plate. The officer discovered that the driver’s licence was under suspension. 35-year-old Scott BENNINGER of Culross Township has been charged with two counts of Driving under suspension and Drive with open liquor. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court Feb. 21 to answer to the charges. TRAFFIC CHARGE LAID AT TWO-VEHICLE CRASH (ARRAN TWP, ON) – Jan. 9, at 1:16 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Bruce County Road 17, Arran Township. Officers arrived to find that a blue Ford Escape had run into the back of a white International 40S truck. The driver of the Escape, 55-year-old Bonnie McCOURT of Port Elgin, has been charged with Careless driving. There were no injuries reported at the crash.
