Welcome to the New Year and may all your goals in 2012 be achieved. Our branch’s local schedule of evening activities - including ladies darts, mixed darts, snooker, pool and euchre - are once again under way. Anyone interested in joining these activities should call the office at 519-396-2372 or the bar steward at 519-396-3837 for the contact person. Our regular Saturday afternoon Meat Draw also resumes Jan. 7, at 2:30 p.m. Don’t forget the monthly Family Dinner is scheduled for this coming Sunday, Jan. 8. The Branch’s executive meeting is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m. The Kincardine Legion will be hosting the Zone Euchre competition at the branch Feb. 4. We would like to have a good representation at this event so we are encouraging branch members wishing to participate to organize a team of four people and to submit their names as soon as possible. Team names have to be submitted to District by Jan. 14 so please enter your names without delay. Of interest to local athletes, is the winter indoor track and field championships sponsored by Ontario Legion Command and to be held at York University Track and Field Centre Jan. 28. Any local athletes (Youths - 17 years of age and under; or Midgets – 15 years of age and under) interested in participating at this event should contact the Saugeen Track and Field Club, or Andy Burgess, our branch Track and Field representative, at 519-396-8345. Till next week have a great day!
