The Grade 8 students at Kincardine Township-Tiverton Public School want to clean up the environment and raise some money at the same time.

The group is holding a bottle drive this Saturday (Jan. 7) in Tiverton, as a fund-raiser for the school's Grade 8 graduation trip to Ottawa from April 30-May 2.

This annual journey to the nation's capital is an educational field trip that promises to be exciting and personally-rewarding for the entire graduating class.

However, with such a trip, there is goal-setting and fund-raising involved to ensure each student has the opportunity to be included.

To assist with the bottle drive, all Tiverton residents are being asked to leave their empty bottles and cans at the end of their driveways by 10 a.m. Teams of students will be travelling around Tiverton to pick up the empties.

If you wish to make alternate arrangements, contact Lisa at 519-368-4079. The Grade 8 students thank everyone for the support in this endeavour.
