The 30th annual Superspiel kicks off this coming Friday (Jan. 20) at the Port Elgin Curling Club at 5:00  p.m..

With curling all day Saturday and the final on Sunday at 2:00 p.m., it is the perfect weekend for those who want to participate or watch as spectators the rinks that compete for $5,000 in first prize money.

Defending Champion Wayne Tuck from Woodstock will be back as will runner up Peter Mellor from Kitchener. The Bruce Funston rink from Tara, that lost in the  first-year final  (1983), will be on the ice participating.  He has hardly missed any of the 30 Superspiels  ...  quite a feat!
