This letter (student harbour staff) brought tears to my eyes as I read it. To think that Peter Roedger was such a "positive" influence on this young Harbour Staffer's past, present & future life.  What an impact !!

This exemplary work review reflects why all the harbour boaters are echoing the same request ... that the Town of Saugeen Shores re-instate this "ideal" and "more than highly qualified" Harbour Master.

The town provides a service to us, in maintaining the harbour, although it is apparent the town did not appreciate the high calibre of employee they had in Peter as a Harbour Master

It’s also obvious by the input, opinions & echos of the harbour client base that they (boaters) were extremely happy with the level of service they were receiving from the Town. We have failed to ever find that level of satisfaction in a service provided by a level of government anywhere else .

The town should reinstate Peter's contract to continue this model level of performance that was servicing the needs of the voters who own boats in the harbour.  If this is a reflection of the best decision process by Saugeen Shores Mayor and Council,  this will surely be factored in when new names appear on the ballot of the next election.
