"We've been very involved with the return to service of units 1 and 2 at Bruce Power," explains Project Manager & Business Development Manager, Jean Sylvester, "therefore, we wanted a location that is close to the work site.  This gives our customer a direct conduit or contact."

Aecon Nuclear division's new ultra-modern offices now occupy the space that was formerly Martin's Benjamin Moore paint outlet on Goderich Street

Aecon has worked in nuclear construction for almost 40 years and has provided a wide variety of services to the Bruce Power site, including replacing digital computer control displays, rehabilitation of cooling water pumps,  replacement of 96,000 terminal blocks per unit and installation of new relief valves, pressure regulators - while providing many jobs.  "We try to hire locally as much as possible," said Sylvester.
