The Paddy Walker Heritage Society reminds residents that its popular 2012 Walker House Cash Calendar is still available at area retail outlets and by contacting the Walker House at 519-396-1850. “If you were disappointed at Christmastime this year because you didn’t get one from Santa, you should still go out and purchase one,” says Rick Clarke, Walker House administrator. The Cash Calendar rewards a cash prize every day in 2012, with a total of more than $10,000 given away. This is a gift that keeps on giving all year long and if your name is drawn once, it immediately goes back in for the next draw. Many days in the calendar feature special draws of $50, $100 and more. “We award $700 on Dec. 31, 2012 alone,“ says Clarke, “and buying a calendar this month will still give you a chance for the big year-end draw and more than 330 daily chances throughout the year”. The Walker House Cash Calendar celebrates the 100th Anniversary of Bruce Telecom, and is an important fund-raiser for the Walker House, Kincardine’s oldest building and now a heritage centre and important tourist attraction for the community. The 2012 Cash Calendar costs $20 and is available at The Bruce Steakhouse, Bean's Bistro, Finchers, Zehrs, Kwik K Variety, and Jerome Flowers and Gifts.
