The final regular season home game for the Wolves is in the books and as much as Ripley was looking for a win, fate had something else in store. Saturday night, the Durham Thundercats were in town looking to grab a couple of points after a shoot-out loss to Lucknow the night before. The Wolves were hoping for a win to put a little breathing room between them and the Shallow Lake Crushers who are right on their tail in the standings. Durham got the last laugh, though, grabbing the two points at the end of the night with a 5-3 win. Goal scorers for Ripley were Brian Stanley, Travis Van Gaver and Derek Regier. Kurt Edwards took the loss in net for the Wolves. A couple of away-games are on tap for this coming weekend. Friday night, the Wolves head over to Walkerton to try and take two points from the Capitals; game time is 8:30 p.m. Saturday night, it’s over to Palmerston for the final regular season game; puck drops at 8 p.m.
