If
you haven't met "Milo" yet, head over to Pet Valu in downtown
Kincardine this Saturday (Jan. 21) from 2-4 p.m., and meet this gentle
but feisty little cat. Cared for by Donna Coughlan of "Allies for Alley Catz" in Kincardine, Milo requires delicate jaw surgery to correct a possible life-threatening overbite. To do this, he must go to a specialist in Guelph, and the operation is expensive. Coughlan, in partnership with Carole Robinson and staff at Pet Valu in downtown Kincardine, is holding the "Meet Milo" event Saturday as a fund-raiser to help pay for the surgery. Located across from Victoria Park, just off Queen Street, Pet Valu is selling draw tickets for three prizes: first prize of a kitty climber condo cat scratcher, second prize of a Crazy Pants tunnel, and third prize of a DaBirde treat. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5. The draw will be held Feb. 14. There are also some "Allies for Alley Catz" 2012 calendars available, at a cost of $20 each. Pick one up at Pet Valu or contact Coughlan by E-mail at dcoughlan@tnt21.com
