New at J'Adorn in downtown Kincardine, are beautiful, one-of-a-kind, handfelted shawls.

Owner/operator Corinne Robertson-Brown is pleased to showcase these stunning silk wearables from Vancouver artist/designer Izabela Sauer.

What makes these luxurious wraps so wonderful is the way you can make them stand out from your body for a little more drama. Instead of simply draping or wrapping them like a traditional scarf, you can turn them into a sculptural addition to your look.

Highlight gorgeous collarbones, frame your pretty face, or turn a simple tee or dress into a stand-out with one of these diaphanous pieces.

J'Adorn also has an assortment of matching felted pins to anchor your design. Choose your look - from feminine to fierce - these will get you noticed.

In her studio on Granville Island in Vancouver, Izabela hand-crafts every scarf and shawl individually, so no two are ever alike.

She uses Nuno felting which is an innovative Japanese felting technique that combines wool and woven sheer fabric. This type of felt is made by hand, anchoring very fine wool fibres into the organza silk. The resulting gossamer felt is extremely lightweight and has excellent drape and flexibility. It combines the lightness of silk with the warmth and funkiness of unspun wool, and will add amazing panache to your wardrobe.

J’Adorn joins the other fine craft galleries and boutiques that represent Izabela’s pieces throughout the United States and Canada.

Come in and see the selection in the shop. J'Adorn's staff is also happy to take orders for custom colours or looks: just let them know.
