Many organizations have contributed to the project, both with money and donations in kind with the most recent donation made by the Saugeen Shores women's group, the Cham-bettes.

The organization raises funds through a variety of projects that include garage sales and the popular Christmas Home Tour.  This year, the group gave $2,000 to the Rail Trail effort with another $1,000 promised for 2013.

The replica train station has been built by the Saugeen District Secondary School trades class under the direction of teacher Bud Halpin.  It has been an opportunity for the students to have a hands-on learning experience from the ground up, on a construction site with particular attention to historic design.

The station is divided into two sections - a rest-stop pavilion with picnic table and a fully accessible washroom.
