Toronto firm hired to design Kincardine hospital redevelopment project |

Cannon Design, an architectural design firm based in Toronto, has been awarded the contract for consultant/architectural services for the redevelopment of the Kincardine hospital - part of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre. A press release from the hospital board, states that 10 proposals were received in response to the Request for Proposals for the project, issued in November, 2011. Four firms were selected to participate in the interview process, and the board of directors chose Cannon Design as the successful candidate. Cannon Design will lead a team comprised of various sub-consultants, including HH Angus & Associates Ltd. (mechanical, electrical and IT), NA Engineering Associates Inc. (Civil Engineer), and Agnew Peckham (functional programming). The project is now moving into Phase 2 of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s capital planning process - the development of the functional program. The functional program includes the
types of programs and services the project will accommodate, space
requirements and the physical organization of the space. The remaining stages are:
Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2015.
