Happy Winter! We are back on track and planning for our next Tiverton Fall Fair, Sept. 21-22. Yes, we have managed to squeeze the fair dates into September. At our Annual Meeting held Jan. 24 at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, the following members were elected to the 2012 executive:
A huge thank you is in order to the outgoing executive on a very successful and busy year. Coming up is Tiverton's Winterfest. The Tiverton Agricultural Society is organizing a Euchre Party on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre at 1p.m. under the direction of Mary Young, 519-368-7714. Sunday, Feb. 12, we are hosting a Jamboree. Al Weatherall will be there with his group of musicians. Tickets for this entertainment are $5 each. A hot dinner will be served at 5 p.m. - tickets are $10 each. Are you coming for the dancing and the dinner? The price for both is $13 each. Feb. 16, we are sending four delegates to the Annual Convention held at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto. Our Ambassador, James Rice, will be accompanied by our first vice-president, Glen Taylor, second vice-president Deb Marcinowski and director Anne-Marie Gomes. They will be bringing back reports. As there are 222 fairs in Ontario, much can be learned through the workshops and sharing information. We are in need of new division heads in the Wine and Antique Divisions at fair time. For more information call Dianne at 519-368-7114.
