Friday was not the best day to be part of the staff at St. Anthony's School in Kincardine.

It was "Slime the Teacher (staff) Day" and everyone got into the action, even the school's librarian, custodian and co-operative education student. The only one who steered clear of the "sliming" was the office manager.

Each teacher had his/her name written on a brown paper bag in which his/her students' names had been placed. Then a name was drawn from that bag, and that student had the audacious opportunity to pour slime on the teacher's head or back or down his/her shirt.

As for the principal and others without a specific class, their paper bags each contained the names of all the students in the school from which a selection was made.

The highlight, of course, was the "sliming" of principal Keith Walsh by Charlie McKitterick.

It was all in good fun and the staff members were all good sports as they wiped the slimy muck off their faces and their clothes. Some even came prepared for the event, with raincoats and shower caps!
