Parking gates will be installed at South Bruce Grey Health Centre’s Chesley site next month. The fee for parking will be $3 per exit, consistent with the health centre's Kincardine, Walkerton and Durham sites where parking gates have been in place since 2004. In the past, fees for parking at Chesley have been collected by meters. However, recent changes to the configuration of the parking lot to accommodate the expansion of the Chesley Medical Clinic, support installation of parking gates. Revenue generated from parking is essential to the health centre’s operations. Any excess parking revenue not used for snow removal and other maintenance, is put into general revenue and used to support programs and services. Also consistent with the Durham, Kincardine and Walkerton sites, the health centre will be offering 30 minutes of free parking and reduced monthly rates for individuals who require frequent access to thehospital.
