South Bruce OPP report impaired drivers, thefts and assault

NOVICE DRIVER CHARGED

(KINCARDINE, ON)Feb. 2, at 2:14 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Lambton Street, Kincardine, conducted a vehicle stop.  

The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. A 17-year-old male from the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with Person under 19 consuming liquor and G2 driver – Blood alcohol above zero.

INTOXICATED MAN SPENDS NIGHT IN CUSTODY

(KINCARDINE, ON)Feb. 2, at 12:09 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Lambton Street in Kincardine, noticed an intoxicated man.  

The officer attempted to speak with the man, who began hollering obscenities at police. 24-year-old Terrence O’DONNELL of Woodstock was arrested and charged with Public intoxication. He spent the night in police custody.

MAN ON STOLEN SNOWMOBILE ARRESTED

(TEESWATER, ON)Jan. 31, at 1:15 p.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol in Teeswater spotted a stolen snowmobile.  

The rider was signalled to stop, but chose to ignore police and rode away.  he suspect was located and arrested following a foot chase.  

37-year-old Troy TAIBINGER of no fixed address has been charged with three counts of Possess stolen property, Possess a controlled substance, Mischief under $5,000, Personation, Assault police and Flight from police. He was held in custody pending the results of a show-cause hearing.

COMPUTERS TAKEN DURING WEEKEND BREAK-AND-ENTER

(WALKERTON, ON)Jan. 30, at 8:58 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received a report of a break-and-enter at the Adult Learning Centre on Catherine Street in Walkerton.

Sometime between 1 p.m. Jan. 27, and 8:30 a.m.

, the Learning Centre was forcibly entered through a double-pane glass window. Ten Dell Computer towers and two Gateway Laptops were taken. The value of the stolen property is estimated to be more than $5,000.  

 

MAN FACING ASSAULT CHARGE FROM WALKING-TRACK INCIDENT

(KINCARDINE, ON)Jan. 27, at 1:48 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received a report of an assault at the Kincardine Davidson Centre Indoor Walking Track. 

Officers arrived and were informed that a female had been shoved while walking along the track. 73-year-old William Moulton of Kincardine has been charged with Assault. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court March 19 to answer to the charge.
