Multi-national styles Kincardine’s Multicultural Celebration is on again with colourful entertainment. Now in its 10th year, the festival will run from 5:30 pm on Thursday May 17th, taking place at the Davidson Centre in the arena. All of this culminates with ‘Great Multicultural Celebration’ - a free evening of family fun with live music, performances, food stalls, a documentary show and a parade.
Bruce Power President Duncan Hawthorne(L) meets with organizer Chandra Tripathi in 2011 To experience the vibrant, multicultural feel and excitement, attend and actively take part in fun, cultural dance, music, games and arts and crafts at the 10th annual Celebration. If food is your thing, get ready to taste a variety of delicious treats from various countries/cultures. If music and dance is your thing, check out the main floor; it will feature live demonstrations of music and dances from around the world. There’ll be something for everyone at the festival and all will be FREE. Exciting new attractions combined with traditional favourites to provide entertainment for the whole family and friends, appealing to all ages and interests. Celebration provides an opportunity for families to experience the rich culture, food, crafts, drink and entertainment of different ethnic groups represented in our community at the Davidson Centre. Kids, do not forgot to collect your passport from the main table free of cost and take part in the draw for the gifts. Come on out to the 10th annual Kincardine Multicultural festival on May 17th and enjoy the rich diversity of our great Bruce County! It is a great opportunity for all including local businesses to support and promote multiculturalism, this event is organized by KMCC and sponsored by Bruce Power and Municipality of Kincardine.
