Women in Nuclear (WiN) Canada and the Girls In Real Life Science (GIRLS) Club are presenting a "So Glad 2B Me" self-esteem/body image workshop for girls, ages eight to 12, Saturday, May 12, at the Lake Huron Learning Centre in Kincardine.

This day-long workshop is packed full of fun interaction with hands-on arts, crafts and games that help girls love and accept themselves based on WHO they are, not WHAT they look like.

The workshop enables girls to embrace their individuality and enhance their ability to take advantage of life's opportunities.

Leading the workshop is Jen Charbonneau, RDH, CMC, BA, KHST Facilitator, Personal Coach, and the event is sponsored by Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and Meridian Credit Union.

Registration begins at 8:45 a.m., at the Learning Centre, located at 385 Queen St., Kincardine, and the program begins at 9 a.m.

The workshop runs to 4 p.m., with lunch sponsored by Bruce Power.

Lynda Cain of OPG says the invitation to register went out to all members of the GIRLS Club, and the workshop is full.
