Man arrested for mischief injured while in custody |

- SIU has invoked its mandate - (KINCARDINE, ON) – March 30, at 5:56 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received a report of a man jumping onto Highway 21, near Sutton Street, Kincardine, swinging a stick at traffic. The man was located by police and was arrested for; Mischief and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The 30-year-old Port Elgin man sustained an injury while in OPP custody at the South Bruce OPP (Kincardine) detachment. He was transported to the South Bruce Grey Health Centre where he was treated and released. The OPP has notified the province’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) and it has invoked its mandate. Further inquiries should be directed to the SIU Communications at (416) 622-2342. The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.
