More than 200 Bruce County Museum members and guests attended the opening of the Titanic exhibit on this the 100th anniversary of the ship's sinking.

Curator, Barbara Ribey, opened the exhibit with her own poignant story of her mother's death on April 28th as Ribey was attending the official opening of the Titanic museum in Portage LaPrairie in Manitoba.

"This is the third and last time that I will see the Titanic exhibit brought here to the Museum," said Ribey who is nearing retirement. "The last time it was here, it was the most successful exhibit the Museum had ever had and, so, I always have felt extra special about the Titanic and how 'she' moved the Museum into opening up to more world-class exhibits.
