The Ripley 4-H Dairy club had its organizational meeting at the home of Jim and Fran Farrell last Wednesday evening. Club members still wanting to join, should contact Alec Martin, Heather Padfield or Fran Farrell. The topic this year is breeding and reproduction. Next meeting is May 9 at Heather Padfield's. 

Seems as if we'll have to break down and start cutting grass again in spite of the lack of rain or heat or May 1st. Last week's little rain was welcomed by all! 

Belated Happy Birthday greetings are sent to Mary Black who celebrated her 89th birthday with family last weekend. Mary Anne Kukoly and Mary toured Point Clark and the cheese factory one afternoon on a gad-about. 

Folks who attended the drama presentation at Kincardine District Secondary School were very impressed and also “The War Horse” is receiving rave reviews. 

Isn't it wonderful to live in a close-knit community? The support given to Wayne Murray and his family on Saturday evening was so very encouraging.

The social evening for Rob MacInnes and Krista Hoover was well-attended as were the ones in Kincardine and Lucknow.
 
Thought for this week is a quote from Albert Einstein: Either you go through life believing that everything is a miracle or that nothing is a miracle. Seems to me that life has all kinds of miracles!
