Students at Ripley-Huron Community School were skipping class Friday afternoon, but it was for a good cause.

Everyone from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 joined in the Jump Rope for Heart event at the school, raising money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Every participant received a free skipping rope, and they made good use of them, enjoying the bright sunshine and warm temperature leading up to the holiday weekend.

Emerson Priboj (L) and Hannah Cassidy, Grade 1, join forces in jumping rope

Skipping rope together are Sabrina Inauen (L) and Magen Huehn, Grade 4
