The new musical, The Jersey Boys', now in Toronto at the Arts Centre in North York, brought back many memories for an audience of all ages but also introduced a younger set to the music of a bygone era.

The musical tells the story of the Franky Valli and The Four Seasons through song and dance with technological advances that bring the original Four Seasons to life in combination with the actors.

Casting for the production is nothing short of perfect. Each main character so closely resembles the original that it is almost eerie and, at times, is difficult for the audience to distinguish between the 'then' and 'now'.

The characters on stage revolved around sheer raw talent, tight choreography and musicianship along with technical staging that supported the various staging changes.

This is a musical play that should not be missed as 40 women from Saugeen Shores, who took a bus trip to see it, will testify. The women ranged in ages from the 30s to 70s and each said the same thing, "This was amazing!"

For many, it was a walk or dance along memory lane and, for others, it was simply the sheer delight in the music and the production. The Jersey Boys runs until February 14th.
