Guelph man seriously hurt in vehicle rollover in Arran-Elderslie

(TOWNSHIP OF ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – July 1, at 5:30 a.m., members of the South Bruce OPP responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Bruce County Road 3, between Bruce County Road 40 and the Elderslie-Arran Line in Arran-Elderslie Township.

The motor vehicle, travelling northbound on Bruce Road 3, for unknown reasons went out of control and left the roadway. The vehicle rolled and ended up in the east ditch.

Both vehicle occupants were injured and transported to hospital for treatment. The driver, a 30-year-old Guelph man, was air-lifted to London Health Sciences Centre with life-threatening injuries.

The female passenger, 22, of Guelph, was taken to Grey-Bruce Health Services – Southampton site, with non-life-threatening, major injuries.

Bruce Road 3, between Bruce Road 40 and the Elderslie-Arran Line was closed for several  hours with the investigation being assisted by members of the West Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators team.

The roadway has since been re-opened.
