Thanks to the folks at Bervie United Church for another great Garden Party. Thanks everyone for all your hard work - the food was great and the entertainment was enjoyable too.

The Ripley Firemen and their spouses put on another yummy breakfast on Saturday. 

The Mushball Tournament folks were thankful for a good meal too. 

Visiting with Fran and Jim Farrell Thursday evening were Bruce Aitken of Bracebridge and Heather and Sam Finnie. 

Congratulations to Bekkie Reinhardt -  Teeswater Fall Fair's Ambassador. She is our new Mid-Western Ontario Ambassador. Ripley's Ambassador, Amberly Keelan, placed in the top 10.  The competition was held in Walkerton recently. Congratulations to everyone who participated. 

Aug. 1, RVilla is hosting a Relay for Life. It will be a social afternoon for the residents and everyone is welcome to join in the walk for cancer research. The walk will start at 1:30 p.m. and there will be a donation box. 

Irene Nesbit of Ottawa visited with relatives in the area. 

Lois and Don Craig celebrated their 60th anniversary Sunday. Our very best wishes go out to them. 

 

Daryl and Nicole Dore have a new baby boy, Bryce Daryl. Congratulations to Ron and Ruth  Dore on their new grandson and to Largaret McInnes, his great-grandma. The Dore Barbecue was Saturday evening and a good time was had by all. 

We hope everyone who is working so hard to get the crops off is being extra careful. Be sure to check that the fire extinguishers are working well on all machinery - the fields are so tinder dry!
