InStyle took to the pitch against Colhoun Chiropractic in a rematch of the season opener in Under-8 soccer. Would InStyle make the cut or would the Chiropractic squad tie them in knots?

Sam Lucas went charging into the Colhoun end early and chipped no less than two balls over the net. He then tried his luck from the penalty spot after a handball, but the Colhoun keeper came up with a great save to keep InStyle off the board.

Hope Adams opened the scoring for InStyle when she too got a try from the spot and sent the twine flying for her first goal of the season. Shivam Karavadra was stymied by the keeper, but then fed a great pass to Lucas who kept the ball low and found the back of the net making it 2-0 for the gang in Grey.

InStyle kept the hard work going, and Lucas broke in picking the far corner to put InStyle up 3-0. Colhoun charged back and Will Hilbig snuck one past Gregory Hartwick in the InStyle net to make it 3-1 at the half.

Colhoun came out strong in the second half as Jared Houghton fed the ball up to Abby Hegmans who hammered it into the net drawing Colhoun to within a goal at 3-2.

A great clearing ball from Lauren Green made it up to Karavadra who passed the ball to Morgan Talbot. A great finish by Talbot resulted in her first goal of the season, and put InStyle up 4-2.

Colhoun pushed back hard, but solid defence from Graham Lucas, as well as Elle Cottrill and Kylie Nesbitt, coupled with sharp saves by Lucas in the InStyle goal kept Colhoun from scoring.

Timothy Hodgins struck a solid clearing shot to Grace Adams who passed the ball up to Karavadra and he made made no mistake, making it 5-2.

Moments later, Cottrill fed the ball up to Karavadra who scored his second of the game, making it a 6-2 final for InStyle.
