Grey County OPP investigating case of animal cruelty

(SOUTHGATE TWP, ON)July 17, at 2:06 p.m., the Grey County OPP received a report of animal cruelty at the Maple Grove Trailer Park along Highway 89 in Southgate Township.  

Officers arrived to find that a small dog had been set on fire. The dog was found deceased at the scene.

The Grey County OPP is investigating this act of animal cruelty with the assistance of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to cal the Grey County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

The Grey County OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.  Should you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or send a web-tip to crimestop-gb.org, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
