Women’s House Serving
Bruce & Grey is holding its annual celebration of
International Woman’s Day. The theme for 2010 is: “Leading
through Resiliency” The event will take place on March 8th
in Port Elgin at the CAW Family Education Centre.
In honour of the occasion, you
are invited to submit a nomination for the Bruce/Grey Woman
of Distinction Award. A Woman of Distinction leads
through determination, innovation and dedication. Her exemplary
talent and achievements along with her strength of character and
sincerity, contribute to improving the community. A Woman of
Distinction possesses a passion for Bruce or Grey County by
breathing life and energy into our community. As part of the
nomination form, please submit a 250-500 biography explaining
why this person should be recognized as a Woman of
Distinction. We have established the following criteria that
will guide us in making our final decision. Criteria: -provides inspiration and motivation to others -recognized as a positive role model through example, mentoring and education -consistently displays leadership qualities -promotes and supports equality, improved opportunities and choices in the community -demonstrates vision, innovation or creativity and the courage to take risks -advocates positive changes in society through the impact of her activities, particularly for women and girls -must be a resident of
