When it comes to the contentious sanitary sewer expansion for the north side area of the Saugeen River in Saugeen Shores, it's still a waiting game.

Dave Burnside, head of the town's engineering department, said that no decision had as yet been made by the Ministry of the Environment (MOE).

The anticipated deadline for a decision as to whether or not the project could go ahead was December 28th.  The Ministry's Evaluator informed the town on January 4th, that December 28th was, in fact, a target date and the town was only told that a decision would be made "soon".
