The contentious Sewer Expansion plan for the north side area of the Saugeen River in Saugeen Shores, has now gone to tender and, as yet, no decision has been firmly made to go ahead with the project.

According to the recent engineering report, "...the vision of the municipalities, has for at least 37 years, been to extend sanitary sewer servicing to the lands north of the Saugeen River.  The long term vision, , recognized then the importance of extending sanitary sewer service."

Tenders are to be received before the end of February and a recommendation will then be made to Council  in March.
