Thanks to one of the most successful fundraisers held by the Cham-bettes in partnership with the Tara Curling Club, the Accessible Integrated Playground is ahead by another $5,500 The fundraiser was the recent 2009 Christmas Home Tour where almost 700 people toured 11 area homes, The Cham-bettes donated $5,000 from the event (in addition to an initial donation of $500) and the Tara Curling Club donated an additional $500.

The dollars go toward the construction of Saugeen Shores Integrated Accessible Playground at Jubilee Park in Southampton, which will begin in the spring. Other donors have been : Power Workers Union (PWU), local Rotary Clubs, Bruce Power, Southampton Residents' Association (SRA), Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO), Southampton CIBC and Town of Saugeen Shores. To date, more than $220,000 ha\s been raised.
