Fran and Jim Farrell celebrated their birthdays on Saturday evening with friends Reine and Ron. The previous Sunday, Fran and Jim visited with Chris, Monty and Tyson Van deSype of Guelph and attended the Grand Slam Curling Spiel in Guelph.
 
The Grey Bruce Farmer's Week at Elmwood was well attended last week.
 
Ross and Lois Durnin of Lucknow visited with Marilyn and Don Reid recently. Also visiting with Marilyn and Don were Mary Lou and Bob Irwin on Sunday.
 
Marianne, Oliver, Michelle, Jadzia and Janet Rhody visited with Janet's sister in Goderich last Saturday.
 
Deanna and Morley Scott visited with his sister, Frances and Bev Kingston in Chesley last Sunday.
 
Donna Jean Forster, Jess Gill and boys, Curran and Braden of Hamilton, visited with Sandra Forster in Goderich for New Year's.
 
A sleigh ride party was held at the farm of Joyce and John Farrell last weekend to celebrate the birthdays of Shain, Joy Ellen and Trinity Kubassek of Listowel and J.P. Greenwood of Clover Valley.  Also attending were Nancy and Paul Greenwood of Goderich, and the Kubassek and Greenwood children. They were also celebrating the 63rd wedding anniversary of June and Earl Elliott.
 
Mary Anne Kukoly visited recently with Isabel Brook of Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow. Saturday, Mary Black, Matt Black, Judy, Wayne, Joe and Daniel Murray visited with Mary Anne.
 

Mary Thorton of Gorrie, sister-in-law of Largaret McInnes. passed away Saturday evening. Linda Graham was up for the funeral.
 
Congratulations to Irene Campbell and David Collins who were married on Friday.

The ladies met at the home of Fran Farrell for a great potluck noon meal on Jan. 13.
Joyce Farrell presided for the meeting. The Scripture was read by Diane Clifford. A donation was made to the earthquake victims in Haiti and to the Husk family who had a fire recently. 
Cards were signed for Bette MacLeod and Sandy Gander. Everyone brought items for our roll call and auctioneer Joyce Farrell did a great job.
Diane showed a short DVD of quilts that were handed out in Taiwan.
