In other news:
  • Council is considering the idea of switching to a paperless agenda and attachments. During budget talks, staff will bring a report on the cost of producing a paperless agenda and the computer equipment that needs to be purchased to do this.

  • Councillor Anne Eadie inquired, on behalf of the Pine River United Church, whether a streetlight could be installed at the corner of Highway 21 and the 4th Concession of Huron-Kinloss. There are safety issues at that corner when turning north onto Highway 21, due to a lack of visibility when the snow piles at the corner in front of the guard rails. Council supported the removal of the guard rails on Highway 21 if the church is in favour. The director of public works will contact the highways department and send that information to Eadie.Staff suggested the streetlight request be put in writing.
