| The Ripley Wolves and Elora Rocks are tied 2-2 in this best-of-seven playoff series in senior A hockey action. Friday night (Feb. 19) in Ripley, the Wolves doubled Elora, 6-3, but Sunday night (Feb. 21), the Wolves were sent home soundly defeated, scoring no goals at all. Last weekend, Feb. 12-13, Elora took Game 1, 4-3, in Elora, but the Wolves tied up the series with a 7-6 over-time win on home ice in Game 2. In Ripley Friday night, the Wolves opened the scoring midway in the first period, when Nick Locking fired in a shot, assisted by Kurtis Colling and Corey McCrae. Locking scored two more late in the period, to net a hat-trick, with assists to Colling, Travis VanGaver and McCrae. The Wolves made it a 4-0 game on a goal by Mark Smith from VanGaver and Locking, before Elora finally lit up the scoreboard. The Rocks put another one past Wolves goalie Jason Reid, to end the second frame at 4-2. Elora made it 4-3, before Ripley took control of the game, firing in two more shots, to take the 6-3 win. Kyle Gallant scored on the powerplay, from Jeremy McQuillin and Colling; and Van Gaver scored from McQuillin and Locking. Sunday night in Elora, the Wolves arrived at the rink but left their game-play at home, allowing Elora to take a major shut-out, tying the series at two games apiece. Game 5 runs Friday, Feb. 26, in Elora, and Game 6 is Saturday, Feb. 27, in Ripley at 7:30 p.m.
