He said the base commander told him there were a number of jets at Trenton this weekend, from other locations in Canada. The aircraft over Kincardine were flying in a two-jet formation. Evans said jets often do practice maneuvers over the lake, but they aren't usually that low so people don't hear them. These jets were fairly low and the roar of their engines could be heard well before they even reached Kincardine, heading north over the airport, he said. He was fielding calls from people who had witnessed the aircraft, through most of the afternoon on Sunday. |
