Included are some photos of tomorrow's Olympians!!! These are from the Jingle Jaunt yesterday, the 800m fun run that preceded the Reindeer Romp. Thanks so much to Kortney and Cheyenne for helping out with the Jingle Jaunt!!! They were the official rabbit and turtle of the event. As well, with hardly any advance notice, Cheyenne and Kortney managed to pull off a great musical warm up! Well done, everyone. Special thanks also go to STFC Alumnus, Jason Weppler, who organized the Jingle Jaunt.

Special thanks to all STFC'ers (parents, athletes, alumni, coaches) who took time from their busy schedules to help out with the Reindeer Romp, especially Brendan Gribbons whose selfless dedication to the event was instrumental in its success. Brendan has been on board with the committee since Reindeer Romp's inception back in July, attending meetings, designing the graphics for the posters, the registration form, participating in Santa Claus parades, etc etc...the list goes on. Saugeen Track and Field Club is truly comprised of those who understand the real meaning of community.

More photos to follow! Be sure to check out www.saugeentimes.com  for more coverage of the event!

Reminder that the Olympic Torch comes through the community of Saugeen Shores on December 28th (5pm). Following the Torch run, there will be a big Celebration Event at the Plex in Port Elgin. The committee is still looking for volunteers for this event. If you are going to be around on the 28th, and interested in volunteering in this very special event, please be sure to reply to the email that will come from Mini Jacques, the Chair of the Saugeen Shores Olympic Torch Run Committee. At the very least, be sure to take a glimpse of the torch as it passes through your community. It might well be the only chance you ever get to see the Olympic Torch!!
