Helper working overtime on the bunker The management and staff of Piper’s Glen hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year. As we embark on a new year, we have already been hard at work improving both the golf course and the clubhouse amenities. Two new bunkers have been added; a fairway bunker on number 1 and a green side bunker on number 18. Golfers who played in 2009 will have noticed our 3 new course structures; one lean to and 2 new gazebos – all designed to shelter people from the sun and the rain (we are fearlessly predicting there will be much less rain in 2010!). We will have a BBQ and refreshments at the gazebo on number 13 on weekends during the summer. New fairway & green’s grooming equipment will help us continue to improve the quality of the course itself. We are looking forward to alterations in our pro shop and new furniture in the dining room. For the first time, Piper’s Glen will stock golf clubs as well as clothes, ball, tees, gloves, etc. Golf shoes will also be available for the first time. We will host 2 demo days during the 2010 season. Both Callaway and Cobra products will be available to test together. Dates will be announced in one of the upcoming Piper’s Pipeline newsletters. Our 2010 rates are now available on our web site (www.pipersglen.ca) and the Saugeen Times website (www.saugeentimes.com). As a little added incentive for our existing members, any 2009 member who introduces and registers a new member for 2010 will receive the 2009 membership pricing for the 2010 season. We will also have the newly renovated dining room/lounge available for fall receptions, weddings, etc. in 2010. Stay tuned for more exciting news in the upcoming months and keep an eye out for the next Piper’s Pipeline. If you have any questions, please call (519) 832-4653
