Happy Birthday to those who are celebrating in January. Freda and Dave Owens of London helped Bette MacLeod celebrate her 92nd birthday at RVilla in Ripley. Our sympathy to the family of Don McDonald whose funeral was last Tuesday in Kincardine. Sympathy, also, to Donalda MacDonald of Goderich on the death of her son, Colin. His spouse was the former Karen Walsh of Kincardine. Pam Tumber of Toronto, Robert and Diane McLeod of Mississauga celebrated an early Christmas visit with Bette MacLeod. Nancy and Brian King of Thamesville visited with her mother, Largaret McInnes, on Wednesday. Judy, Jen and Rob, Tammy and Todd Thompson enjoyed some Christmas holidays with Judy's folks at North Battleford, Saskatchewan. The holiday season was a great time for families to get together. Heather and Sam Finnie and family journeyed to Hamilton to be with his folks; Maureen and Roy Collins enjoyed having their family home for Christmas in Lucknow; Diane and Andrew MacDonald hosted the Doug MacDonald family; Janet and Wayne Rhody's family and Merle and Gerald Rhody gathered at their place; June and Earl Elliott's family celebrated at their home in Wingham; the Clifford family gathered at the new residence of Heather and Dan Newman; and Marilyn and Don Reid's family celebrated at their home. |
Jim and Fran Farrell, Carmen, Jamie Farrell and Crystal Ferguson, Glen Farrell and Sarah Smitjes attended the Logtenberg Christmas in Goderich on Dec. 27. They were glad to have Grandpa home for the holiday. The Farrell family had their Christmas on New Year's Day with everyone home. On Saturday, Kathy and Scott Martin of Kitchener, Janice and George Miller, Colleen, Louise, and Stacey of Thorndale, Rob and Carolyn Farrell, Mariah, Paige, Jack and Julia of Rockwood and Jim and Fran Farrrell and family had Christmas with lots of board games and visiting. Roger and Wendy and Adam Smith had supper Sunday evening with Jim and Fran. Mary Anne Kukoly enjoyed many great visits with family and friends including Betty Scott, Donna Swann, Joyce McEwan and family, and Marlene and Gayle Haldenby. On New Year's Day Mary Anne entertained Marjorie Armstrong, Mary Black and Irene Boyle. I know the ladies are looking forward to the Women's Institute meeting on Jan. 13 at Fran's. Hope the weather is good. |
