Lorne Kraemer, father of Kincardine mayor Larry Kraemer, of RR 4, Kincardine, died Monday (Jan. 4) at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, in his 80th year.

Besides Larry Kraemer and his wife, Bonnie, and family, Lorne is survived by his wife, Eleanor; children, Murray Kraemer of Kinloss, Kent (Kristy) Kraemer of Toronto, Tanya (George) Heos of Newmarket, and Melene (Lawrence) Popa of Aurora; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and five siblings.

Visitation will be held Thursday (Jan. 7) from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., with vigil prayers at 8:45 p.m., at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow. The funeral will be held Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Teeswater. Interment, St. Anne's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Riversdale.
